I started A Destination Away in 2024, with the goal of helping others navigate the best options in making their travel plans easy, efficient and well planned.
Living in Alaska for 18 years allowed me to visit amazing destinations, see incredible wildlife, and experience unique ways to travel (ferries, float planes, and zodiac boats). From Alaska, I mainly traveled to other places in U.S., such as Hawaii, Florida, and Wyoming, but the adventures have been unlimited. From cruises to the Caribbean, flights to Bermuda and Puerto Rico, there is always a grand adventure to be found.
I decided to become a travel advisor in order to help others create a travel plan that is above and beyond what they were envisioning. For instance, if you visit Kodiak, Alaska, I would recommend seeing local places that are often overlooked.
My strengths as a travel advisor are my eye for detail and organizational skills. I enjoy fulfilling the wishes of my clients, whether it is by train, plane, automobile, or boat. While traveling can be stressful, preparation and execution are key in creating a successful and memorable trip.
